UMKC - Youngblood Medical Skills Laboratory

The Youngblood Medical Skills Laboratory provides skills training and simulation experience for the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine.  Located on Kansas City’s Hospital Hill campus, adjacent to the University of Missouri – Kansas City Schools of Medicine and Nursing, the 5,100 SF Youngblood Skills Laboratory is home to state of the art medical training simulators and associated medical skills teaching spaces.  This space provides medical students with hands-on, experiential training in skills such as intubation, suturing, and OB GYN.

In addition to supporting the efforts of the medical skills training program, the facility also serves as the teaching facility for the Masters of Science in Anesthesia program as well as the School of Medicine’s Standardized Patient, BLS, and ACLS training programs.  The Youngblood Medical Skills Laboratory’s flexible design coupled with state-of-the-art technologies, allows it to efficiently serve the schools simulation and task training needs from a small centralized location.
