Black Hills State University, Life Sciences Laboratory

Clark & Enersen was hired to design Black Hills State University’s Life Sciences Laboratory. BHSU initiated the project to meet the needs of the school’s rapidly-increasing number of students pursuing science degrees. The building, which was designed to achieve LEED Silver certification, officially became the home of the Center for Conservation of Biological Resources (CCBR) when it was completed in 2011.

The Life Sciences facility features:

  • Teaching and research laboratories.
  • Lab support spaces.
  • Faculty offices.
  • Two conference rooms.
  • Multiple interactive study areas for students.
